The Blog – Passive Aggressive Notes is a collection of “painfully polite and hilariously hostile writings from shared spaces the world over.” Many of the notes featured here have been included in a book that is available from your favorite retailer.

The Blogger – Kerry Miller is the woman behind the blog, but she depends on readers just like you to submit “passive-aggressive (and just plain aggressive) notes.”

A Post We Luv – As a Human Resources professional myself, I laughed out loud at the first note featured in oh! shit! Though this particular note is not mine, I have been known to send out company-wide emails regarding bathroom etiquette.

10 Questions with Sy of The Wheel is Turning, but the Hamster is Dead

1. Describe your blog in five sentences or less.
The site is a testament to a man who used to have a lot of time on his hands. It is a mash up of various types of posts, all dependent on what is going on in the world at the time. The site is universal, and I try to make it acceptable for the majority by not writing posts that may offend on purpose. I try to write in “plain” English rather then use crazily long words that make people think. The site is not about thinking, but is more about mindless escapism.

2. Link us to one post from your blog that best defines who you are.
It’s a Kind of Magic. Possibly of the Mushroom Kind.

3. What sets you apart from other bloggers?
I don’t think I can say I am set apart from other bloggers. I read many other blogs, and am astounded at the quality of the blogs out there that can post day after day. If anything, it is that I make a point of replying to every single comment, and try to strike up online friendships by email with my readers by actively encouraging them to contact me off of the site.

4. When and how did you first discover blogging?
I used to read a lot of IT news sites, and always “had something to say”, but humour was always my thing in life and decided in December 2007 to give it a go just after being burgled and wanting to vent about it. I put a humour angle on it, and the site went from there.

5. What is your biggest pet peeve related to blogging or the internet?
Having the time to create content people want to read, and having the time to get my site out there and get new readers. I have found promoting my blog a hard task as my home life has changed and the time I have to surf has decreased.

6. Name one plugin, blogging widget, or service that you can’t live without.
Stats. Be it Feedburner or Statcounter, it is important for me to know that people are reading my site. After all, I spend a lot of time writing posts, so it would be sad to know that no one is reading it.

7. If you could choose anyone, living or dead, to write a guest post for your blog, who would it be and why?
Ade Edmondson. A lot of people wouldn’t know of him, but he is a UK TV star. His comedy has me in tears and I would love to see what he could do on a post. If his posting skills are half as good as his acting and script writing, my site would benefit many times over, as would my readers.

8. How has blogging made you a better person?
I cannot say that it has made me a better person per say. If anything, it has made me painful to my wife in my constant attempts to write good humour posts and bugging her asking her if she thinks it is OK. Of course, she always says yes, but I think it is because she doesn’t want to hurt my feelings!

9. What are your tips for becoming a better blogger?
Do not become obsessed with stats. People will come if you get your name out there, and there is no such thing as a thousand hits a day 3 posts in to your blog! And cut down on the ads. Do you want to write a site, or do you want to make a lot of money? If it is the money, then you need to look elsewhere. I have no ads at all on my site. Enjoy writing your posts and do not let yourself turn in to the perfectionist. Trust me, it makes each post harder and harder!!

10. Name one great blog that you read on a regular basis. What makes it unique?
It’s a Funny Thing…
I love Don’s posts. The photo manipulation makes me incredibly jealous, while making me very happy that I found his site. He seems to have an abundance of posts available which makes visiting there a pleasure.

The Blogger – This nameless blogger claims to have a Batman tattoo and confesses to having seen every episode of Smallville, Firefly, Buffy, Battlestar Galactica, Veronica Mars, Heroes, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Jericho, and Lost.

I actually don’t remember how it was that I came upon this blog. I just remember that I completely forgot about whatever it was I was originally looking for and got lost in the humor.

Pranks.com is produced and edited by Joey Skaggs. Here you will find insights, information, news and discussions about pranks, hoaxes, culture jamming & reality hacking around the world – past, present and future – mainstream and counter culture. You are invited to contribute to its development. May your journey be filled with more than your expectations.

Just reading the “about” in the sidebar had my interest upon the first reading. Of course, a story about a zebra inside a school down in Oxford, Georgia was a pretty good attention grabber too. Not every day you see a zebra getting wrangled out of a college. No, the zebra was not hurt. It’s pranksters were careful and gentle with Bar Code, yes the zebra had a name! How cute is that?

Now that I’ve distracted you with talk of adorable zebras and funny college students let’s get back to the topic here. Which, in case you have forgotten is The Art of Prank. What makes a good Prank? Joey Skaggs has some easy to follow do’s and don’ts for all your wannabe pranksters out there. Stick to these guidelines and hopefully no one will want to hurt you!

Yes you fill find this blog funny, but there is a serious side to The Art of Prank. First Amendment Issues, ah yes, I’m sure you’ve heard of that beloved First Amendment of our United States. Just in case, here’s a refresher;

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Good stuff to know right there. And it seems that more and more every day the sanctity of this amendment is being questioned in the news, along with the rest of the top amendments that someone is always wanting to change, challenge, ban, edit or whatever. Hold this right dear to us and love it, for it allows your crazy use of pranking and keeps you from going to jail. Prank on fellow pranksters, prank on. (and don’t forget to blog about it and entertain the rest of us too!)

Ten Questions with Lobo of Predator Press

1. Describe your blog in five sentences or less.
Well, the Wall Street Journal is an infinitely boring publication that no one reads … it’s all ‘economic crisis this‘ and ‘the escalating war in some unpronounceable that‘ blah blah. Jeez, it barely even has any pictures! And did the much-lauded New York Times cover when I wrecked my car for the insurance money? No. … As the sole source of news for millions and millions of readers, I figure Predator Press owed it to the masses to weigh in finally on really important issues.

2. Link us to one post from your blog that best defines who you are.
I would say ‘Roller Coaster‘. Being a celeb myself, I understand what it’s like having satellites taking pictures of your house and supermodels desperately trying to tear off bits of your garments every second of the day. But I’m a well-respected and married member of the community.Do you hear that Jessica Simpson? 500 yards at all times.

3. What sets you apart from other bloggers?
$300 glasses. Oh, and that a Northern Timber Wolf chewed me out of her own cervix, ‘cuz she thought I was malignant.

4. When and how did you first discover blogging?
You don’t want to hear the story about the Northern Timber Wolf? I’ve got these really cool scars.

5. What is your biggest pet peeve related to blogging or the internet?
Other people are on it. And now they are copying my idea! There must be eight or nine people ‘blogging’ out there now … I should have copyrighted the concept in the first place. Predator Press is already beyond my control: it’s a rampant and insatiable fusion-fueled juggernaut of a blog that chews up entire universes and spits out kittens for fun. More than one Predator Press will tear holes in the fabric of Space-Time, destabilize the “Blogosphere”, and ultimately collapse the entire internet into a singular dense point that skews your eBay feedback until you have to burn down your own home for the insurance money while fighting zombies dressed in a Speedo.

Screw those jerks!

6. Name one plugin, blogging widget, or service that you can’t live without.
Well, the computer keyboard is pretty cool when it’s plugged in. Otherwise I would have to scan in all those restaurant napkins and matchbooks.

7. If you could choose anyone, living or dead, to write a guest post for your blog, who would it be and why?
It would be my kids. I house them, feed them two or three times a week, and no matter how much I beat them it’s still all ‘bitch, bitch, bitch’. I demand an explanation.

8. How has blogging made you a better person?
I’m down to between 16 and 20 heartbeats a day. My doctor -understandably- was concerned and tested my blood. And as always, my blood got an A+ -clearly showing it’s intellectual superiority over all the other stupid and inferior bloods. The treacherous French continue to poison me with deep-fried pointy potato sticks, but according to Nietzsche, “What does not kill me makes me stronger”. I’m freakin’ awesome now.

9. What are your tips for becoming a better blogger?

1) Buy a computer.
2) Buy a monitor. And,
3) WRITE IT DOWN!

10. Name one great blog that you read on a regular basis. What makes it unique?

That’s easy. The only blog I read is The Cult of 45 Caliber Ominous Funny Things.

… It’s genius.

One such blog I landed upon a while back is Comments Are Open, authored by a blogger who simply refers to herself as Blog Starr.

“gossiper, stalker, petty fighter, good kisser, snark Diva & attitude in a box”

That’s all you find as a description and info about Blog Starr in her profile, but that’s really all you need because Comments Are Open isn’t really about her, it’s about all of the other bloggers she writes about. It’s a good bet you’ve heard of paparazzi, well Blog Starr considers herself a Blogarazzi, bringing you the latest gossip and rumors in the blogosphere. It’s a fun concept considering many bloggers reach a near celebrity status.

If you’re a pretty well known blogger and tend to write openly and perhaps a little over-dramatically, there’s a good chance you may find yourself on Blog Starr’s radar. For example when the popular blogger known as Dooce recently ranted about hate mail returning insults to her haters, Blog Starr whipped up a post entitled “Silly Dooce, Hate is for Haters.” In the post Starr writes, “Heather’s comments on her latest summary of Dooce’s indigestible hate letters is pretty indigestible in and of itself”

I think it would probably be easy to read many posts on Comments Are Open and label them as offensive towards the bloggers Starr writes about, but honestly after a bit of reading, I would consider the articles to be more tongue-in-cheek than anything and not necessarily meant to offend. I should probably point out that not all posts on Comments Are Open single out bloggers who have a flare for the dramatic. Starr also likes to write about and praise her fellow bloggers as well, like Megan of Velveteen Mind.

If you’re one who likes a bit of gossip, enjoys having a good laugh or just plain likes reading about how the other blogging half lives, Comments Are Open may just be the place for you. Blog Starr has crafted a unique and fun blog that has become a regular and daily read of mine.

1. Describe your blog in five sentences or less.
A caucasion rapper, Lil’ Migs, and his homeboy journalist, Mike, share their most badass and awkward moments together. The two are actually the same person (me) and they are each other’s alter-ego. Though they disagree about some things, they really are tight with one another. Mike’s entries are all over-analytical pieces while Lil Migs’ occasionally makes time to release statements through his homie, but is more known for his rap songs. I guarantee a chuckle or your money back.

2. Link us to one post from your blog that best defines who you are.
I’m Wearing a Khaki G-String

3. What sets you apart from other bloggers?
I’m well published, so I bring a level of professionalism and I tie it in with my ability to create humor.

4. When and how did you first discover blogging?
I needed an outlet to pursue the genre of writing I knew I was most fit for, so I started up a blog with an angle that no one else on the web had. I think I have a product that no one else can offer.

5. What is your biggest pet peeve related to blogging or the internet?
The amount of loading time everything takes. But I enjoy the constant challenge of trying to put together a blog that competes with the millions of other blogs out there, and I think I do a good job of it considering the loyalty of my many readers.

6. Name one plugin, blogging widget, or service that you can’t live without.
Youtube. Video is key.

7. If you could choose anyone, living or dead, to write a guest post for your blog, who would it be and why?
Larry David, the writer of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm. The guy that has inspired me to approach writing without holding back.

8. How has blogging made you a better person?
It is one of the things in life that I am most passionate about and completely committed to.

9. What are your tips for becoming a better blogger?
Try and keep the content fresh, and keep the blog user-friendly.

10. Name one great blog that you read on a regular basis. What makes it unique?
Stuff White People Like – It’s not racist as the title might suggest to some people. It’s just a very funny running list of entries, each one a new something that white people like.
