ShanKri-la is a wonderful blog and one of my personal “regular reads”. I have had my eye on doing an interview with the author and a review on this blog for some time now. ShanKri-La is authored and owned by Karthik Ramadoss, a very creative, intelligent and skillful blogger. I am pleased to announce that I had the exclusive opportunity to interview and review with Karthik Ramadoss and learn more about the blog and the person behind the control panel of this wonderful and informative blog.

This blog has such a simple approach to such a complex topic. As K mentioned once before in his 10 Questions submission, the channel of communications between techie geeks and the common blogger are very thin. Its one thing to be a blogger but its a complete different ballgame and language spoken in the teckie world of blogging. Many people simply don’t understand tech blogs because they are not technical in nature. This is where ShanKri-la breaks these languages barriers and paves a huge super highway or “open channel” for the common blogger to engage in communications with the techie bloggers. The concept is genuine and truly comes from the heart.

“I subscribe to a large number of technology blog and questioned myself before starting ShanKri-la. Why do I need another one? Technology blogs speak techie people. I wanted to bridge that gap so my not so techie friends can also see what it’s all about and how some of the nerdy things can actually make you efficient in getting things done on the internet.” , says Karthik.

There is total love and passion in K’s writing. His primary objective was to reach out to immediate family members and friends. But as we all know how blogging works, great blogs have a natural way of gaining more readers than just a handful of friends and family members. As is stands today, in just a short seven months, K has drove his blog up the chains and earned a Google PageRank of PR4 and has over 190+ Feedburner subscribers. In my opinion… with stats like that, something is being done right and its totally grabbed my attention. Karthik shares with me in email, “I really had my doubts when I started ShanKri-la. I started it because I realized my friends and family were missing out in the internet. The geeks (like me) seemed to be enjoying all the wonders and seemed to have all the fun by reading the techie blogs. I started writing to share my finds in the internet with my friends and family in a way that they can understand and use them in their daily life. Hence the slogan ‘where technology meets daily life’!” Little did K know or expect to see what the blog has grown to be today.

What can you learn at ShanKri-la… the tag cloud above speaks for itself. This is a blog that you don’t want to pass up. I am a full time professional blogger and I totally recommend a daily visit and a full time subscription to the feed of ShanKri-la. On May 31st, 2007 I introduced K to my good friend Kyle Eslick. It is wonderful to witness such an amazing friendship arise from my personal blog. K and Kyle both frequently comment on each other’s blogs and both actively comment on my own.

On August 23rd, 2007, Mark Sierra did a wonderful job with writing a review about Kyle Eslick and his personal blog titled, “Kyle’s Cove“. As it turns out, Kyle and I have a little bit of history together. He was one of the first bloggers I met only after about six months of blogging myself. If I am not mistaken, we met in a chat room on JohnTP.com. At any rate, as the months have gone by, I have watched his blog grow and have witnessed such an amazing success with his increased readership and overall public interest level.

On Oct. 1st, 2007, Kyle launched a second blog. It’s a very good one too! I didn’t put two and two together until a week later when I checked out the about me page. I was totally “Wowed”. It seems that Kyle has picked up quite a bit of WordPress knowledge over the last year. The tips he offers are totally spot on, easy to follow and extremely useful.

His new blog is titled, “Hack WordPress” and boy let me tell you… Kyle does a great job at hacking it up, tearing it up and providing readers with some amazing WordPress tips and tricks.

The blog is brand new, and Kyle tends to be a little shy with putting his own blog in the spotlight, so I figured I would do it for him. We’re all bloggers here and majority of us use WordPress. So, take a moment to check out his new blog, be sure to bookmark and or save the blog to your faves… and most importantly, I would recommend subscribing to his RSS feed as I can quickly see it becoming a leading source of information for WordPress customization tips and advice.

Kyle… you are doing awesome buddy! Keep up the great work and enjoy the luv coming at you from the BlogsWeLuv team!

Simply put, Kyle’s Cove, authored by Kyle Eslick, is a blog I enjoy reading. He was born at a very early age and his first word was probably “blog”. Don’t believe me? Well, okay, but after you read his blog you’ll see how he practices what he preaches with his own web presence.

By day he’s a mild-mannered employee in the mortgage industry, by night he fights a never-ending battle discovering ways to make money online as well as offering blogging tips.

For example, some of his most popular posts are his “best of” series covering Firefox Add-ons and WordPress Plugins. And there’s nothing stale about these and other posts on his blog because he continues to update them with his latest finds. (Shoot — I find it hard enough to find the time to write my posts let alone update them.)

What else do I like about Kyle’s blog? He answers his reader’s comments, for one thing. And for another he doesn’t repeat the topic of the day that you find on other blogs. But if he does talk about something that’s hot, he makes it his own with his style and perspective, which makes it a refreshing read for his audience.

Be sure to check out his blog. :)
