BittBox - A blog we luv

I seem to have a knack for unintentionally stumbling onto great art blogs, and a couple weeks ago it happened once again. This time I landed at the doorstep of BittBox, a blog literally full of goodies for its readers to consume.

Bittbox has been around for about a year and a half and recently already surpassed 3 million visitors. That’s quite an achievement. In that time more than 13,000 loyal readers have subscribed to the RSS feed. Imagine what those numbers will look like after another year passes by!

There were two things which immediately captured my attention on Bittbox (other than it’s beautiful layout) - a whole lot of freebies to download and a showcase for reader submitted artwork. If you’re someone who enjoys creating digital art, I have no doubt you’ll find something useful and inspiring to you on Bittbox.

Here’s just a couple of the many great posts you’ll find on Bittbox:

Free watercolor brushes for Illustrator - If you’re a vector artist using Illustrator, these brushes are a must have. If you’re more of a Photoshop person, there’s an alternative for you as well.

Free paper and notepad vector - With a little bit of creativity, I’m betting there’s a lot of fun things you could do with these.

As I mentioned there’s also a showcase featuring some really exceptional artists. Not only do you get to see a glimpse of their artwork, but each artist is interviewed by Bittbox. I love the work of Luke, a 20 year old self taught graphic designer from England.

There’s plenty more to see and read about on BittBox and with so much of it being visual, I highly recommend that you stop by and experience it all for yourself. While you’re there, do yourself a favor and grab the RSS feed. BittBox is without a doubt a blog which deserves to be amongst your daily reads.
