10 Questions with Jotun of The BookmarkMoney Blog

1. Describe your blog in five sentences or less.
I believe my headline is most appropriate: The Marketing Adventures of a Dollar Menu-naire.

2. Link us to one post from your blog that best defines who you are.
The closest one posted so far is Geeking Out. It combines all of the passions - anime/manga, movies, and comic books.

3. What sets you apart from other bloggers?
Geographic distance, and in some cases a restraining order.

4. When and how did you first discover blogging?
I remember reading about it back in ‘99 or so, and considering the time frame, I probably discovered it via Slashdot.

5. What is your biggest pet peeve related to blogging or the internet?
Comments, or the lack thereof. Most of the time I feel like the crazy guy with the sandwich board preaching the end of the world: crazy, but not uniquely crazy enough that people pay attention to me.

6. Name one plugin, blogging widget, or service that you can’t live without.
Pluginstaller. No more downloading, unzipping, and uploading stuff like a sucker!

7. If you could choose anyone, living or dead, to write a guest post for your blog, who would it be and why?
Bruce Campbell. He’s the least famous famous person you’ll ever meet. I’ve enjoyed all of his B movies, and his first autobiography was a laugh riot.

8. How has blogging made you a better person?
It’s forcing me to be consistent, and I’m more renowned for my randomosity.

9. What are your tips for becoming a better blogger?
Spell check. Grammar helps too. Write in complete sentences, unlike me.

10. Name one great blog that you read on a regular basis. What makes it unique?
Chizumatic.mee.nu - An anime blog written by a fanservice loving 50-something retired engineer living in Oregon. If that isn’t unique, I don’t know what is.
