Ten Questions with Zobel of Belolats.com

1. Describe your blog in five sentences or less.
I am the most boring person you’ll ever meet, and while I am writing this entry, I am having second thoughts as to why I have a blog. This is an extension of my old school journal which I’ve had since 6th grade. This blog is all about me doing what I know I’m good at–writing. No matter how senseless or insightful my entries are, I know that It always make me feel good and accomplished.

2. Link us to one post from your blog that best defines who you are.
I just love making people smile.

3. What sets you apart from other bloggers?
My domain name.

4. When and how did you first discover blogging?
I discovered blogging three years ago when I met Hale and other fans of the band. Having your own blog or your own online portal seems to be the trend during those times, so I created my own and have learned to love logging my thoughts online eversince.

5. What is your biggest pet peeve related to blogging or the internet?
My biggest pet peeve related to blogging and the internet has got to be the spam emails and people who leave nasty comments on blogs.

6. Name one plugin, blogging widget, or service that you can’t live without.
I’m not really a widget kind-of-person but I guess the service I can never live without would be the photo hosting and photo editing sites. Adobe licenses are pretty expensive but you can get the luxury of enhancing your photos, near to what Photoshop can do, with online picture editors.

7. If you could choose anyone, living or dead, to write a guest post for your blog, who would it be and why?
I would very much want to have the following people to write a post for my blog: John Mayer, Armi Millare of Up Dharma Down and Roald Dahl. I frequent John Mayer’s blog and I love the fact that blogging is one of his hobbies. I adore how transparent his entries are. His fans will definitely have a bigger grasp on how he is like as an artist and as an individual. Roald Dahl is on top of my Favorite Authors list and I never, and will not ever, be tired of reading his books. Too bad I did not have the chance to meet him in this lifetime. Lastly, I really hope Armi Millare will read this post and share her thoughts as a guest writer here. I had a great time interviewing her and her bandmates two years ago for a magazine, and reading her blog has been a habit because she has this deep sense and perspective about everything.

8. How has blogging made you a better person?
Blogging has made me a better person because it made me realize how much importance writing is in my life. Writing is one thing that I know I am good at, and writing my thoughts and having people read them, no matter how sensible or stupid my ideas are, really boost my confidence.

9. What are your tips for becoming a better blogger?
This blog definitely has got a lot of room for improvement, so for this question, I would leave this question for YOU (yes, YOU who’s reading this post right now).

10. Name one great blog that you read on a regular basis. What makes it unique?
No Half Measures. A gifted writer. I feel really inspired and blessed whenever I read her post. It’s a blog with a lot of passion.
