Blog Herald - A blog we luv
Blog Herald, which is presented in a great looking three column news format, features not only blogging news, but also columns for editorials, interviews and opinions, all of which of course revolve around blogging. If that’s not enough for you, Blog Herald also operates a podcast and even keeps tabs on recent blog job postings at bloggerjobs.biz.
A talented and well known team of writers
Like traditional news sites which are updated by a team of writers, Blog Herald is much the same, featuring 15 writers. A couple which were immediately recognizable to me are Lorelle VanFossen and Chris Garrett, two names I’ve seen and read about around the blogosphere many times. Lorelle is the author of Lorelle on Wordpress, which is perhaps the most popular blog for Wordpress tips and tricks. Chris a professional blogger, is the author of ChrisG.com which offers blogging tips and marketing advice.
While Lorelle and Chris are two of the more recognizable names which make up the Blog Herald staff, it’s safe to say that the entire team is a talented bunch. Just take a few moments to read each contributors bio and you’ll see what I mean.
Plenty of valuable and informative content
If you spend just a few moments sifting through the Blog Herald archives, you’ll undoubtedly find that there’s plenty to read and discover. As I do with every blog review, I’d like to introduce you to a few posts which I enjoyed reading.
- The Ten Commandments of Blog Typography - Written by Randa Clay, this article discusses some of the “no-nos” of type in your blog design. How many are you guilty of?
- Google selling links for $1,995 - Considering all the chaos in the blogosphere lately caused by Google devaluing blogs which sell links, this was certainly an interesting read.
- How to instantly increase the quality of your blog - An article about the recent trend of premium wordpress themes, discussing why some designers are now selling their themes and why you would want to buy them.
