Web Designer Wall - A blog we luv

If you’re a Wordpress blogger and have found yourself looking for themes to spice up the look of your site, there’s a good chance you’ve stumbled upon a guy named Nick La. Nick is a fantastic designer/illustrator and creator of some of the most beautiful and original Wordpress themes I’ve ever seen. Nick is also the author of several blogs including Web Designer Wall, a site which features some of the best design tutorials you’ll find on the web. If you’d like to learn how to create a great looking website that’s truly unique, Nick’s blog is the perfect place for inspiration.

Web Designer Wall features tutorials for Illustrator, Photoshop, CSS and even a bit of flash. Perhaps my most favorite posts would be two which Nick posted recently detailing how to create a watercolor effect menu and then turn that into an advanced CSS driven menu. All of Nick’s tutorials are very well written. He really does a wonderful job explaining his CSS techniques, making them quite easy to understand and if you already have a bit of knowledge with Photoshop and Illustrator, you should be just fine.

Beyond design tutorials, Web Designer Wall also covers topics like web trends and technology. You’ll find that most things posted under these topics will still relate to design. I’m rather partial to vector illustration, so Nick’s post highlighting the trend of vector illustration in web design was a nice bit of eye candy for me.

There’s definitely a lot to take in at Web Designer Wall. I highly recommend stopping by today and adding the blog to your list of daily reads. You’ll be glad you did, once you find yourself learning some great new techniques to make your blog beautiful.

  5. Glad ya all enjoyed Nick’s site =)

@Jazevox: Some of the CSS techniques that Nick teaches might very well apply to Blogspot, but I can’t confirm that as I’ve never used the service.

  6. Wow,

That is one of the coolest wordpress designs I have ever laid eyes on!

Amazing… I stared for a whole minute, I love it.

One thing I might note, if Nick is reading this, is that I would brush up on the grammar.

It would be a shame if some visitors/readers are put off by the lack of attention on simple things like grammar or spelling.

I hope you take that as a constructive criticism Nick,

    Cheers and good luck!
