10 Questions with I Am The Diva of I Am The Diva

1. Describe your blog in five sentences or less.
I like to think that my blog isn’t just one of those accounts of my daily happenings. I try to make each post entertaining, with a bit of humour and sarcastic wit. Once in a while there is actual quality writing and sometimes there is a gem of hilarity.

3. What sets you apart from other bloggers?
My can do attitude and my sweet sweet ass. Er…uh… I like to write about stuff that’s funny?

4. When and how did you first discover blogging?
I first started blogging on the diaryland network five years ago – I’ve always been a writer, I’ve had journals for years. The downside to my journals was, when there was a piece that I particularly thought was good – I wasn’t able to share it. Once I started receiving comments on my posts, I was hooked. I crave attention and love.

5. What is your biggest pet peeve related to blogging or the internet?
Biggest pet peeve? I would have to say when I wander into someone’s blogsphere and there’s some kind of midi rendition of Celine Dion. Or blogs that are too centered on one topic.

6. Name one plugin, blogging widget, or service that you can’t live without.
I couldn’t live without my tags/labels because they help me navigate within my posts. I suppose if I had one of those fancy schmancy search boxes, I wouldn’t have to rely on them. Maybe next year.

7. If you could choose anyone, living or dead, to write a guest post for your blog, who would it be and why?
I would love to have all my bloggy buddies grace my blog with a guest post. They’re fab.

8. How has blogging made you a better person?
Blogging has helped me look at situations in my life differently. After the fact, while writing about it – I am able to see the humour in unfavourable situations, or really appreciate the great situations. Also, it’s made me a better writer.

9. What are your tips for becoming a better blogger?
Write often. Don’t tell me why you haven’t written in a while, just write. If you must tell me the mundane details of your day – make them entertaining. Say what you feel. Be passionate. Be funny. Be honest. Be real.

10. Name one great blog that you read on a regular basis. What makes it unique?
Schmutzie’s Milkmoney or Not, Here I Come

I visit her on a regular basis because she writes on a regular basis. Her posts are always entertaining and she has a great way with words.
