Way before I myself became a parent, I became a fan of the site Black Belt Mama!
The Premise
If I had to describe the site Black Belt Mama, I’d probably say it’s one part martial arts, and three parts family. Which by itself is pretty cool. Add to that BBM’s wit, candor, and honesty towards life and you really have something worth reading.I mean think about it! - The best thing a blogger can do to endear themselves to her readers is to share real experiences as they are. And you know I’m talking about the good, the bad and the ooglay. Check Black Belt Mama on any given day and you’ll see she does this on a consistent basis with detailed posts touching on everything from “BBM about to crack the whip on some guy” to “family vacations” to “BBM’s own video premiere on YouTube“!

Black Belt Mama (BBM) herself is some kind of girl… A wife, mother of two, and a 1st Kyu brown belt in both Okinawan Kenpo and Kobudo martial arts! I am so going to check out the Black Belt Mama site purely on the name alone. Yeah, I’m a sucker for great domain names. :) Plus, BBM actually looks a lot like someone I used to work with, though she’s not. And I don’t know why I just posted that part, so ignore it. Sorry. Lack of sleep. Move on already…
