First of all I want to apologize to Loretta, the author of Just Not Martha and the winner of our very first blog review contest. I know she’s probably been very anxious waiting for this review and it’s taken me a bit longer than I’d hoped to get it finished. For that I apologize :)Now then, let’s get on with the review shall we? The tag line for Just Not Martha reads “Perfect is boring” and while it’s not explicitly mentioned when reading the about page, one would have to assume that the Martha this title pays homage to would be a certain daytime television diva named Martha who certainly likes to portray the image that she’s living a perfect life. Loretta lets you know that “Life isn’t perfect, and neither am I. That’s just how it is.”A bit about Loretta
Loretta is a married, working from home mother of four. After a few stops along the way biding her time working in various places, Loretta made the decision to finally gather her things from her desk and make the big decision to head home to work, which she describes as one of the best choices she’s ever made. I say kudos to Loretta. Life is short so why spend too long letting a situation you’re in make you miserable? She’s found something that makes her happy and that’s something I think everyone can admire.So what can I find on Just Not Martha?
As I sat there reading through entries on Loretta’s site I realized in a way it’s very much like my own blog. There’s a little bit of everything inside for everyone. I thought I’d share a few of my favorite posts to help give you an idea of what you can expect to find on Just Not Martha.

• Ew! There’s a thing in my corn! - This cracked me up because things like this have happened me before. There’s nothing quite so gross like finding a foreign object in your food. It’s a bit of an appetite killer for me. I usually just toss the whole thing out and make something else.
• Avoid the Packed Lunch Boredom - This is a wonderful article that talks about how you can creatively turn that boring lunch pail meal into something more exciting and nutritious. I know when I was a kid I used to dread opening the lunch pail. It seemed like it was always same old thing and I really didn’t want to eat it. Ever.
• Helpful tips for getting a good night’s sleep - Now here’s one that’s right up my alley. Ask Tish, she knows all about my wacky sleepy patterns. If you’re looking for a little advice on how to get more rest perhaps Loretta has a solution for you. My particular favorite is to start a bedtime ritual. Just recently I’ve begun giving a Tish a call each night before going to sleep and it’s worked out wonderfully for me :)

There are plenty of great and interesting things to be found on Just Not Martha. Everything from tips and time savers to rather tasty sounding recipes, like homemade fruit sorbet. Yum! If you’re looking for a great blog that’s like a little slice of life perhaps this might be just the one for you. I’m sure Loretta will be happy to have you stop by :)
