10 Questions with Lisa of Past Life Car Thief
1. Describe your blog in five sentences or less.
My blog is a good example of a comedy/tragedy. I think I do a fairly good job of displaying the many facets of me through my entries. If nothing else it will keep you constantly guessing about who I really am and by that time you will suddenly care about what I’m doing day to day whether you like it or not.
2. Link us to one post from your blog that best defines who you are.
The Changeling
3. What sets you apart from other bloggers?
I am a textbook case Pisces and as a typical Pisces my personality displays characteristics from each zodiac sign as does my blog in that it is seemingly every blog you’ve ever read mashed up into one that doesn’t necessarily ever make sense or fall into any one category.
4. When and how did you first discover blogging?
I started blogging because journaling has always been an interest of mine even before the internet was ”invented”. In Jr. High and High School I used to write notes to all of my friends about how my day was going etc…and they used to get a kick out it because I was always trying to make them laugh with pictures/stories/gossip/poems about guys we liked or teachers we hated. I started to ”officially” blog back in June of 2002 because there were a lot of journals I read at the time and I thought it would be fun to give it a try and eventually it became one of my favorite hobbies.
5. What is your biggest pet peeve related to blogging or the internet?
Flame wars. Fun to read, not fun to be a target of.
6. Name one plugin, blogging widget, or service that you can’t live without.
sitemeter *shame*
7. If you could choose anyone, living or dead, to write a guest post for your blog, who would it be and why?
Me in my past life as a car thief of course!
8. How has blogging made you a better person?
It makes me feel useful which is something I desperately require.
9. What are your tips for becoming a better blogger?
Be honest with what you write and don’t let your fear of being rejected or mocked stop you from writing what you truly want to.
10. Name one great blog that you read on a regular basis. What makes it unique?
I would like to mention a blog that no longer exists (as far as I know) that really got me excited about starting my blog back in the day. It was called Squirrel-X and it was about a self proclaimed psychic/witch that escaped an abusive marriage to live with a guy she met during a morning walk one day. Man she had some great stories and I was so completely into hearing about her daily life. Her html absolutely sucked the big one and I don’t know if she was ever a ”real” person or not but her writing superseded any truths there may have been.
