Ten Questions with Vickie of Mom’s Out There

1. Describe your blog in five sentences or less.
My Mom’s Out There blog is about me being a mom. I have come to realize that more than mom’s actually come to this site. I tell how life is being a Mom…the good and the bad. And my readers always love my quizzes and my picture of the day.

2. Link us to one post from your blog that best defines who you are.
I have so many to choose from but I think this one is the best….Back from surgery

3. What sets you apart from other bloggers?
I think that my honesty can sometimes blow people away…no really…I think that it is that I really just try and write like I am talking to my readers. I am just me…no one special.

4. When and how did you first discover blogging?
I just got my computer in March after being away from the internet for so long. I had a blog over at MYSPACE but it just wasn’t doing it for me. I felt like no one payed attention to it. So somehow I found blogger and my life hasn’t been the same since. (I have 4 blogs now.)

5. What is your biggest pet peeve related to blogging or the internet?
I think my pet peeve is the people that think they are better than everyone else.

6. Name one plugin, blogging widget, or service that you can’t live without.
My site stats…I love seeing how different they can be everyday and what people type in to find my site.

7. If you could choose anyone, living or dead, to write a guest post for your blog,who would it be and why?
Anyone?? I think that if I had a choice it would be you know I can’t think of anyone…I think everyone that stops by my blog is amazing. (That’s true you know!)

8. How has blogging made you a better person?
I think it has made me realize in life things just keep on moving…things may bring you down but they will always be there. Writing has always been my life…now I get to share it with others.

9. What are your tips for becoming a better blogger?
I think writing in it daily is a big plus. I really try to make an effort at doing that. Fresh content is always a plus.

10. Name one great blog that you read on a regular basis. What makes it unique?
You know I have so many…but my favorite is 7confessions…and I have to say it 40’s singleness. They are my partners in crime. I’m sorry that was two!
