Ten Questions with Brown Baron of Brown Thoughts

1. Describe your blog in five sentences or less.
Brown Thoughts is a technology blog that looks at the digital world from a different angle compared to most tech blogs. My primary goal is to build a community around my blog.

3. What sets you apart from other bloggers?
I’m Brown. On a more serious note, I think I’m different because I sincerely believe that most blogs have the potential to be great. It’s just a matter of finding their groove.

4. When and how did you first discover blogging?
I discovered blogging about a year ago when I found Problogger, but only started to blog 4 months ago. I never thought that I’d actually have something to contribute haha.

5. What is your biggest pet peeve related to blogging or the internet?
The RIAA.

6. Name one plug-in, blogging widget, or service that you can’t live without.
Akismet

7. If you could choose anyone, living or dead, to write a guest post for your blog, who would it be and why?
I’d pick a used car salesman to guest post for me. Those guys are so good at the hard sell they’d probably double my subscribers in one day.

8. How has blogging made you a better person?
Blogging has been a humbling experience for me. I’ve met a lot of great people with incredible talent. The friendships I’ve formed through blogging have made me a rich man.

9. What are your tips for becoming a better blogger?
Blogging is a lot like being married. You’ll be confused for long periods of time and sometimes feel unappreciated. Love what you do and commit yourself totally. You’ll be amazed at what happens.

10. Name one great blog that you read on a regular basis. What makes it unique?
I don’t have just one great blog that I read. All the blogs of my friends are my favorites. Great people, great blogs.
