In Cinq - A blog we luv

I’ve decided to kick off the reviews on BlogsWeLuv with a very fascinating site called In Cinq, which is a blog I discovered maybe a month or so ago run by a very friendly young woman by the name of Adria. The blog is defined as an international community art project and that certainly sums it up very well.
So what exactly is In Cinq? In Cinq is a collection of self portrait images submitted by people all over the world, captioned by 9 word poems which are called cinquains. Those who submit their photo and cinquain have the option to do so anonymously or they may link to their own site if they so choose. That’s it. That’s the heart of In Cinq. You may be thinking “well, that’s not very interesting”, but I promise you it is. After just taking a few minutes to read some of the words people send along with their photos, it’s hard not to have any kind of emotional response. Some words submitted are passionate, others bold and some even heartbreaking. All of them are special. I find myself visiting In Cinq every other day or so just to see the new submissions.
With each submission to In Cinq there’s the opportunity for readers to leave comments by clicking “Reflect on this” below each photo. The majority of comments I’ve read are all very positive and encouraging. Adria has accomplished not only creating a unique and very creative site, but also one with a friendly and inviting community. In case you’re wondering, yes Tish and I have both submitted to the site as well.
Why not head over to In Cinq right now and leave your mark in the community?

Thank you so much, Tish and Mike! :D
You’re welcome :D
Wonderful review for a wonderful blog! :)
Adria is LOVE-ly too :) She’s such a breath of fresh air don’t u think?
Agree! She’s a great person who put together an equally great site :)
I couldn’t keep myself from commenting here! Adria is a legend in waiting. While she may be a legend to me (and you too mike) I have a feeling she will be known throughout the world for something powerful and artistic. InCinq…truly stellar:)
Mike, I have a suggestion that would be perfect for this blog and set it on fire. I could be wrong but I think it would be cool.
Have Gummy interview your guests, maybe not all, just the serious ones:) If you do based on my suggesting it, then I have to be his first interview! (unless you already have 5 Gummy interviews lined up) It would be better on this blog than the actual Gummy blog because it’s unexpected.Just a thought It’s something I would go out of my way to read)
